Cats
2019 -23
Domestic bipedal cats reoccur in my art. I simplify and abstract cats. I place these domestic creatures in a dangerous non-domestic environment. A recurring narrative in my work is tiny fragile cute anthropomorphic cats going on perilous voyages, suffering but growing and learning. I use my art to explore themes of grief, anxiety, turmoil, climate crisis, and gritty optimism in trying times.
